Not every scene needs a premise. Some of the best ones are just two people awake at an hour when nobody else is, with nothing in particular to do about it.
This is the quietest scene on the list, and that is deliberate.
The situation you walk into
Your couch at two in the morning. Neither of you could sleep, so you both ended up here in the dark. The movie finished an hour ago and nobody has moved to turn anything on. She is tucked into your side, very awake.
You are the person she came to find. She is the one curled against you who cannot sleep either.
Choose who could not sleep
The hour and the dark stay the same. Who is under your arm is the whole scene.
Why quiet scenes are harder than loud ones
There is no conflict here to lean on, which means the character has to be good company rather than merely dramatic. The scene builds slowly and softly, and it rewards talking rather than escalating.
Pick this one when you want closeness instead of a story.
Build who is on the couch
If you have someone specific in mind, make the character first and the room will be dark and quiet when they arrive.
