soft

Lazy Sunday

neither of you has a single reason to get up and you both know it

The scene
a slow Sunday morning in bed, coffee going cold, nowhere to be
Tone
soft, sleepy, indulgent
They are
the one curled up beside you with no plans and zero intention of moving
You are
the person she wants to keep in bed all day

The appeal of this one is that nothing is at stake. No storm, no secret, no tension to resolve. Just a morning with no obligations in it and someone who has no intention of leaving the bed.

Comfort is a legitimate thing to want from a scene.

The situation you walk into

A slow Sunday morning in bed. The coffee has gone cold on the nightstand, there is nowhere either of you needs to be, and you both know it. The day can be spent entirely here if you want it to be.

You are the person she wants to keep in bed all day. She is the one curled up beside you with no plans and zero intention of moving.

Choose who stayed

The morning is the same. Who is taking up most of the duvet is not.

Why a scene with no plot still works

Most roleplay scenes hand you a problem. This one hands you an absence of problems, which turns out to be surprisingly hard to find and surprisingly nice to sit in. Sleepy and indulgent is the whole tone, and the character is not trying to get anywhere.

If you want tension, almost every other scene has more of it.

Build who is beside you

If a particular person belongs in that bed, create the character first and Sunday will be waiting.
